Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

One of the things I have been dying to review has been the Bourjois 'Healthy Mix' foundation. I had seen it reviewed on many other blogs and it got a good response so I decided to try it out for myself. Being olive skinned can have its difficulties, especially when it comes to makeup! Finding a foundation that doesn't make the skin look either orange or very pale can be difficult. I trailed through websites that claimed to have the perfect foundation for olive skin and I have to say, finding a skin match comes with a hefty price tag.
After not wearing any foundation at all for so long, I didn't want a foundation that was too heavy because it made my skin feel oily and unhealthy. That's wear Bourjois comes in!
It says it has 'Radiance- boosting fruit therapy for a flawless complexion for up to 16 hrs!' It's ingredients aren't what I'd ever consider applying to my face but it has a nice enough smell. It contains:
Apricot for radiance
Melon for hydration
Apple for antioxidants
and Ginger for energy.
It has a light- medium coverage in my opinion but if you build it up it would cover well. The texture itself is odd in a sense. It's not runny but almost gel like (It doesn't sound appealing but it applies well) and with a primer it stays on the skin for a good day. I wouldn't say my skin was 'glowing' like it promises but it definitely combats uneven skin-tone and gives an overall healthiness to your skin. During the winter months my skin tends to look quite sallow (as you can see) and pale which is a nuisance but the foundation does help to mask it.

For a retail price of £9.99, the 30ml bottle lasts for a long time. A little goes a long way with this foundation and as someone who doesn't wear copious amounts of foundation, it will probably last me a good half year perhaps. It has definitely earned a place in my makeup bag!

Body Shop Body Butters

Hey!
I haven't blogged in a while because I've been busy with exams but I was shopping the other day and went into the Body Shop. After christmas I always visit the Body Shop sale and pick up a few things. When I visited this time I decided to get some of their famous body butters which were 50% off.
I've never tried the body butters before but I have to say I really like them! I got the Raspberry butter for my Mum's birthday and it has a pleasantly sharp smell exactly like fresh raspberries. It's a very nice smell for summer because it's so fresh and clean and is a beautiful colour!

I got myself the 'Ginger Sparkle' body butter and for a non ginger fan I have to say the smell was not at all bitter. It weirdly reminded me of cola bottle sweets but once on the skin it smelt more spicy. It's a lovely homely fragrance and have been using it for a week straight.
