Sorry! Let me apologize with Nivea...

Hey guys!! I am so sorry that I haven't uploaded in ages but I have been busy with school, revision etc... I've also been making videos for YouTube!! It's been quite exciting and feel free to go and check out my videos :D Anyway enough of my excuses!!
So one of the things I've been using lately is my Nivea lip balm. The stupidly cold weather that has lingered in Britain took a strain on my poor lips. Combined with the wind and me licking my lips out of habit, they tend to chap in the cold.
Nivea's milk and honey lip balm has been my saviour lately and to top it off it smells amazing!! It applied really easily and doesn't feel sticky at all. I apply quite a lot and it absorbs fairly quickly which is great! My lips have been much better since using it and it doesn't give your lips a white tinge but a nice rosy glow!

For £1.99 it's a steal as it lasts ages and can fit niftily into your pocket! You can buy them at any drug store and for that price they're a bargain!

Nivea Express Hydration Primer

Hey everyone! Sorry that I haven't blogged in a while, I've been bogged down with school work and also video making for YouTube.
So one thing that has earned a place in my makeup bag is Nivea's 'Express Hydration Primer'.

It comes in two different packages, 'Normal/Combo' and 'Dry/Sensitive'. I picked up the blue pot which is 'Normal/Combo'.
I have to say that I've never really used a primer before, if I have worn makeup it's normally eye and lip so face primer is not always needed. But with my recent purchase of foundation I picked up this too. The texture itself is very gel like and not a lot is needed to cover your face. It works as a moisturiser as well as a primer but because it's silicon based, sometimes it leaves my skin feeling a little tight if I'm not wearing makeup over top.

For the reasonable price of £4.99, this pot is a great bargain. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

YouTube!

Hi everyone!
Okay so I've wanted to start a YouTube channel for a while and I plucked up the coverage!
As my blog is mainly beauty, my channel is challenges, trips out and some end of the months favourites. I would really appreciate it if everyone took a look at it and if you like my sense of humour then subscribe!
My friend Amy who also has a blog should be making one too so check her out! I warn you about my accent. Many people have told me in the past that I sound posh and that seems to be highlighted on camera so fair warning!
Also, for this blog I have decided to do a weekly spotlight on perfumes. I will be doing this on fridays so watch this space!
Thanks for reading, and check my YouTube out!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

One of the things I have been dying to review has been the Bourjois 'Healthy Mix' foundation. I had seen it reviewed on many other blogs and it got a good response so I decided to try it out for myself. Being olive skinned can have its difficulties, especially when it comes to makeup! Finding a foundation that doesn't make the skin look either orange or very pale can be difficult. I trailed through websites that claimed to have the perfect foundation for olive skin and I have to say, finding a skin match comes with a hefty price tag.
After not wearing any foundation at all for so long, I didn't want a foundation that was too heavy because it made my skin feel oily and unhealthy. That's wear Bourjois comes in!
It says it has 'Radiance- boosting fruit therapy for a flawless complexion for up to 16 hrs!' It's ingredients aren't what I'd ever consider applying to my face but it has a nice enough smell. It contains:
Apricot for radiance
Melon for hydration
Apple for antioxidants
and Ginger for energy.
It has a light- medium coverage in my opinion but if you build it up it would cover well. The texture itself is odd in a sense. It's not runny but almost gel like (It doesn't sound appealing but it applies well) and with a primer it stays on the skin for a good day. I wouldn't say my skin was 'glowing' like it promises but it definitely combats uneven skin-tone and gives an overall healthiness to your skin. During the winter months my skin tends to look quite sallow (as you can see) and pale which is a nuisance but the foundation does help to mask it.

For a retail price of £9.99, the 30ml bottle lasts for a long time. A little goes a long way with this foundation and as someone who doesn't wear copious amounts of foundation, it will probably last me a good half year perhaps. It has definitely earned a place in my makeup bag!

Body Shop Body Butters

Hey!
I haven't blogged in a while because I've been busy with exams but I was shopping the other day and went into the Body Shop. After christmas I always visit the Body Shop sale and pick up a few things. When I visited this time I decided to get some of their famous body butters which were 50% off.
I've never tried the body butters before but I have to say I really like them! I got the Raspberry butter for my Mum's birthday and it has a pleasantly sharp smell exactly like fresh raspberries. It's a very nice smell for summer because it's so fresh and clean and is a beautiful colour!

I got myself the 'Ginger Sparkle' body butter and for a non ginger fan I have to say the smell was not at all bitter. It weirdly reminded me of cola bottle sweets but once on the skin it smelt more spicy. It's a lovely homely fragrance and have been using it for a week straight.
